Bar & Waiting Staff

 

Sonning Golf Club are looking for a friendly/experienced Bar & waiting staff to work flexible part and full time hours. Must be hard working and willing to work as a team and must be well presented.

 


Duty Managers

 

Job Description

We are now looking for a professional & enthusiastic Duty Manager to join our team.

Reporting to the House Manager the position will cover all aspects of food and beverage operations with specific responsibilities in the restaurant.

You will need to possess excellent customer service skills, have a great eye for detail and have supervisory experience, preferably within a similar environment.

 

Duty Manager Skills & requirements:

  • Ability to provide a quality service and to exceed guest expectations
  • A ‘hands on’ team player who can lead by example, develop & motivate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to show initiative and cope well under pressure
  • Proactive approach to up-selling
  • Basic PC knowledge

Duty Manager benefits:

This is a full-time position & requires flexibility to work during normal hours, evenings, weekends & public holidays.

Sous Chef 

 

Sous Chef requirements:

  • A ‘hands-on’ Chef with all-round cooking abilities
  • A track record of large scale banqueting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A great eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure & on own initiative
  • Availability to work during normal hours, evenings, weekends & public holidays

Sous Chef responsibilities: 

To work with the Head Chef, and cover in their absence, towards;

  • Implementation of bar, banqueting and restaurant menus
  • To help ensure high levels of hygiene / health & safety
  • To help manage stock and maintain / meet GP targets within a small friendly kitchen

Our current focus is on using fresh local ingredients to produce Home-made, hearty, British food, but with regular Member evenings and a very busy Sunday lunch trade there is plenty of scope for creativity.
